Looking Glass Salon is seeking an experienced and passionate hairstylist to join our vibrant team through our chair rental program. This is an excellent opportunity for creative professionals looking to manage their own schedule while operating in a beautiful, established salon environment.

  • Great street presence and lots of walk-by traffic in a really lovely neighbourhood close to Cook Street village

  • Online booking included

  • We use L'Oreal Professional colour and hair care line. We have a full range of colour and products to choose from and charge fair market price for use of colour. Back bar included in chair rental. Higher than standard commission rate for retail sales as well

About you:

  • Comfortable with providing a variety of services within your craft (not all are required)

  • Customer service oriented and focused on providing a great experience

  • Punctual and organized and excited to be a part of this industry

Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service to clients, ensuring a welcoming and friendly atmosphere

  • Perform hair styling services, including cutting, colouring, and treatments, tailored to individual client needs

  • Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness in the salon environment

  • Communicate effectively with clients to understand their preferences and provide expert advice

  • Recommend products and services to enhance client experience and increase revenue

  • Assist with front desk duties, including scheduling appointments and managing retail sales
